Ballet for Highland
with Kate DeGood of Kate DeGood School of Highland Dance
Recording Available
Looking to improve your strength, grace and technique in Highland dancing?
Join us for our Ballet for Highland workshop with former champion dancer and RSOBHD judge & examiner, Kate DeGood. In addition to highland, Kate studied ballet from the ages of 7-18, as a member of the Alma College Dance Company and performed in several professional productions including the Nutcracker as a community cast member by audition with the Carolina ballet.

Designed specifically for Highland dancers, this workshop will focus on essential ballet fundamentals, helping you enhance your balance, posture and precision for competition-level performance. This zoom class will be divided in 3 main parts (barre, stretching and floor work), plus some discussion of Nationals movements that share ballet terminology.
The live class took place on 3 November at 4pm EST (New York).
